How long will our candle bars last?

They will last about 60 – 80 hours, however, some have lasted longer. It depends on the strength of the fragrance, the air circulation of the room, etc.

What kind of wax is used in Scentsy candle bars?

Many customers have asked about the wax we use and why. Here is the scoop. We use a food-grade petroleum based wax. We chose this wax because of its superior scent loading ability, melt point, and firmness. We looked into vegetable based waxes, and we just couldn’t get a quality candle bar.

The type of wax we use is a non-issue, with regard to the chemicals released while burning. We only warm the scent out of the wax – the wax remains in the warmer, thus there is no danger of chemicals being released into the home.

Do I use a whole candle bar at a time?

Candle Bars come in eight, break-a-part sections. Choose your favorite candle bar scent, break off one or two sections and place in our warmer. Next turn on your warmer…relax and enjoy. The only thing warming out is the fragrance.

How hot does the wax get when warmed?

The wax is heated to 125 degrees Fahrenheit.

How do I clean the wax out of the warmer?

While the wax is warmed and melted pour into a disposable container and wipe the warmer with paper towels or napkins.

What wattage of light bulb does the warmer use?

A standard 25 watt, small based light bulb. Each new warmer comes with its own light bulb.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is always free for home or catalog parties with $150 or more in total retail sales. Direct ship orders to individual customers add 10% to their total. Shipping to Hawaii or Alaska is 10% with a 20% shipping charge for direct ship orders in those states.

How long until delivery?

Approximately 2 to 3 weeks from when the party closes or an order is placed.

I’m not really a “sales-y” kind of person. Can I still be good at this?

At Scentsy, it’s all about relationships, not hard sell tactics. If you enjoy socializing and sharing Scentsy products with friends and family, you have all the qualifications you need to succeed.

In fact, the complete lack of sales pressure and the simplicity of our products are the main reasons so many Scentsy customers decide to become Consultants. They find themselves enjoying a party experience instead of having to sit through a typical sales presentation and suddenly realize, “Hey—I can do this!”

What kind of support and training does Scentsy provide?

At Scentsy, Consultants are truly sponsored and mentored, not just recruited. Along with support from your Sponsor and your upline Director (your Sponsor’s Sponsor), you’ll get access to web-based training tools and an online forum for connecting with fellow Consultants. We’ll send you a New Consultant Start-Up Guide, promotional products, and marketing tools.

Scentsy’s fully-staffed Consultant Support Department is available every weekday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. (MT). We also hold an annual convention and seasonal training and networking events throughout North America, Puerto Rico, and Guam.

How much can I expect to earn?

The amount you can earn depends completely on how much time and energy you want to invest. Consultants make 20%–30% commission on their own sales as well as additional bonuses on the sales of other Consultants they sponsor. Some of our Consultants opt to sell just enough for a little extra pocket money, while our Superstar Directors can make six-figure incomes per year.

Can I sell online?

Yes! Independent Consultants can sell Scentsy products only through their official Personal Website (PWS).  All online advertising must first be approved by the home office.

Can I sell on eBay?

NO! To maintain the quality and integrity of Scentsy products, Independent Consultants are prohibited from selling on eBay or any other auction type website or service.

Can I make my own personal website?

Yes! Independent Consultants can make their own website, however all independent websites must be approved by the home office.

Can I sell at fairs and events?

Yes! Independent Consultants are allowed to sell at local events and expos. You can elect to purchase inventory to resale at the events or take orders only. The choice is yours.

Are there any monthly/quarterly sale’s requirements?

You’re free to schedule as many or as few parties as you like and sell as much or as little product as you like. Scentsy processes account cancellations only once each year, on January 1, for accounts with zero orders placed during the six-month period from July 1 through December 31.

How much is a Scentsy Starter Kit?

Scentsy Starter Kits are $99 plus tax and shipping (shipping is $10 – tax is based on your local tax rate). Each kit contains everything you need to start your business.

How long does it take to get my Scentsy Starter Kit?

Scentsy generally ships starter kits within 72 hours of receiving your application. Starter Kits are shipped via UPS.

Who do I contact for help once my kit has arrived?

You have many people who want to help you succeed. I recommend contacting your sponsor (the person you signed up under) first. If they can’t answer your questions, you can contact me or call the toll free number for Scentsy’s customer service. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, I too was a new consultant at one time. I want to help you!!!

What if this just doesn’t work for me?

 At Scentsy we realize that, even with the best of intentions on both sides, not all partnerships are meant to be. As a Consultant or a Host you’re free to leave Scentsy at any time. There is no cancellation penalty.
