Work from Home Consultant Attends Scentsy World Tour
I was so excited to attend the 2016 Scentsy World Tour held at the beautiful and luxurious Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa located in Cedar Creek, Texas. As a work from home consultant, I have the flexibility to set my own schedule and work my Scentsy business at anytime. On the day of Scentsy World Tour, I got up super early because I didn’t want to miss a session and generally I don’t like to be late. The Scentsy World Tour is kind of a mini-convention where work from home Independent Scentsy Consultants come to learn more about the 2016 Spring Summer Catalog which is debuting on March 1, 2016. The Scentsy World Tour also provides valuable training on how a work from home consultant can improve on sales, recruiting, social media strategy, and team building. Another great bonus of the Scentsy World Tour was the prize giveaways! Unfortunately, I didn’t win any prizes, but it was so much fun holding that ticket while Corporate staff called out the winning numbers. I wanted to share my personal experiences at Scentsy World Tour with you, thanks for coming along for the ride!
Scentsy World Tour Registration and Check In
Well, after driving all the way down from Northwest Austin via US Highway 183 and then Highway 71, I FINALLY arrived at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa Resort, I arrived shortly after 7:15 am and had no problems finding parking near the event. As I started walking towards the registration area there were many work from home Scentsy consultants lined up to greet me with noisemakers and yelling “Scentsy Spirit!” The check in process was seemless and I got to visit my Scentsy Sponsor, Anji Little and Superstar Director, Kelly Alexander (see picture below). Kelly and Anji volunteered to assist corporate staff with registering and checking in work from home Scentsy consultants. Way to pitch in ladies!
Bonding with my fellow Work From Home Consultants
Before the first general session started, I had time to bond with my fellow work from home Independent Scentsy Consultants. My fellow director Angela Cupp and her team members (Lesley Cornwall and Miranda Buller) from the Coastal Bend of Texas were on save seat duty for our over forty team members. Angela’s team did a great job saving our seats and our group was able to congregate together the entire day. Way to go Angela! Two of my rock stars (Lisa Stockton and Maria Buenrostro) are seen below soaking up all that Scentsy knowledge! It was so great to see my fellow work from home team members in person, what a day it was!
General and Breakout Sessions
The opening ceremony or the General Session was very exciting! There were hundreds of work from home consultants dressed up in team costumes, shaking rattling noise makers, and generally having a blast celebrating Scentsy World Tour. The breakout sessions provided valuable training on recruiting, following up with customers, interacting with new customers, and my favorite, social media strategy. Attending Scentsy World Tour has invigorated my work from home Scentsy business! I’m ready to take on the world!
